Pathfinders’ Club at Wavoo Wajeeha Women's College is dedicated to guiding and assisting students on their personal and academic journeys. This club serves as a support system for college students, helping them navigate challenges and opportunities during their university years.
It provides a platform for students to connect with one another and build a strong community. By fostering relationships among students, the club aims to create a supportive environment where individuals can share their experiences, challenges, and achievements. This sense of belonging helps students feel more connected to their college community, which enhances their overall college experience.
It also focuses on empowering college students through various initiatives and programs. These programs are designed to help students develop essential life skills, such as leadership, communication, and problem-solving. Through workshops, seminars, and mentoring sessions, the club equips students with the tools they need to succeed both in college and beyond.
Furthermore, the Pathfinders Club organizes various activities and events tailored to college students' interests and needs. These include career fairs, networking events, volunteer opportunities, and recreational outings. By engaging in these activities, students can explore their passions, expand their net works, and make lasting memories.
The Pathfinders' Club is dedicated to equipping our students with the tools and skills necessary to become effective leaders and agents of change.
Our vision is to create a society where women are empowered, respected, and valued members of their communities.
"Discover, Serve, Lead."
The Pathfinders' Club was inaugurated in the ICT hall at 11.30 am on 17/03/23. The event was attended by students from all departments. Dr.J. Sugantham Parimala, Assistant Professor of Economics welcomed the gathering. As the inaugural speaker, Dr. Rama, Principal of Wavoo Wajeeha College, graced the event. Dr.M. Christy Mercy, Assistant Professor of Tamil, and Mrs.G.Ebenezar Helan, Assistant Professor of English attended the event as well.
Dr. Rama’s inaugural address on the benefits of the Pathfinders' Club to students provided valuable insights into the club's mission and activities. Her speech effectively communicated the club's potential to help students develop important life skills and foster a sense of community and belonging. As such, students are encouraged to consider joining the club to take advantage of the opportunities it offers.
The recent defamation case against Congress leader and Wayanad MP Rahul Gandhi raised several questions about freedom of speech. It has also raised questions about the consequences of derogatory statements against public figures. The Pathfinders' club organized an elocution competition on the topic of "Freedom of Speech and Defamation Laws" for students from all departments at Wavoo Wajeeha College.
It is with sincere pleasure that I extend my heartfelt gratitude to all the Pathfinder Club participants. Your dedication, hard work, and enthusiasm have been instrumental in making this club a great success. Your contributions have not been unnoticed, and we are deeply grateful for your commitment to our mission.
