SC/ST CELL

Scheduled Castes (SC) and Scheduled Tribes (ST) are recognized as the most disadvantaged groups in Indian society. They encompass all the castes, races, or tribes that have faced social, economic, and educational backwardness. The purpose of establishing a dedicated cell is to provide motivation, support, and inclusion for these students. The college is committed to facilitate financial assistance through government agencies and other sources like Ulavar Scholarship Scheme for students from these communities. Moreover, the cell actively encourages them to participate in programs that align with their career aspirations. Additionally, the cell arranges various awareness initiatives on topics such as Computer Skills and Soft Skills for the sake of SC/ST students.

OBJECTIVES

  • To guide SC/ ST students and help them to involve in educational activities.
  • To suggest the SC/ ST college students and assist them to manage instructional and personal problems of university lifestyles effectively.
  • To make aware of various scholarships offered by the State Government.
  • To offer the mechanism to redress the criticism of SC/ST college students, if any
  • To ensure an amiable and safe environment in the campus.
  • To offer special facilities for the SC/ST students to prepare competitive examinations.

FUNCTIONS

  • Collect reviews and records of State Govt. And UGC’s orders on numerous aspects of education, employment of SC/ST Students.
  • Circulate State Government choice about extraordinary scholarship packages.
  • Frequent assembly with students.
  • Communicate with the students and motivate them for better destiny planning
