Mathematics Association is the powerful tool to remove mathematics phobia among students.
All the students and faculty of the department are members of the Mathematics Association. It helps in arousing and maintaining students’ interest in mathematics. It provides the students with opportunities to develop their explorative, creative and inventive faculties. It inculcates the habit of self-study and independent work among the students.
It offers an ideal avenue for a free exchange of mathematical ideas and for frank and helpful criticism of these ideas. It helps in developing heuristic and problem solving attitude among the students. It provides opportunities for students to translate the theory into practice and to apply their learning in daily life situation. It provides an opportunity of listening to experts and Professors from outside.
The Purpose of the Mathematics Association is to develop student’s level of Math skills and knowledge. This will be accomplished by using games, activities, and mock competitions. Students will cooperatively work to complete Logic and Math Puzzles.
This association organizes Guest Lectures, National Conferences and Seminars. Also we conduct several activities such as Maths Quiz, Maths Models Making, Maths Connexion, Sudoku, and Poster Making. Additionally we encourage our students for research we conduct the Paper Presentation for the Under Graduate and Post Graduate. Every year we celebrate National Mathematics Day and Science Day. Also we train the students for Competitive exam through conducting Numerical Ability Test.
